News from the Clairton Municipal Authority
The Clairton Municipal Authority currently charges $1.50 per thousand gallons of waste treated which is the lowest rate in Pennsylvania.

The new Administration building project is completed. The construction bid was awarded to DiMarco Construction Company and the electrical bid was awarded to Genesis Construction Group. |

The Long Term Control Plan has been submitted to the DEP. The upgrade and expansion of Clairton Municipal Authority is going to change the facility to 30 MGD in the future.
Open House - There will be an Open House on September 12, 2007 from 7 am to 12 pm. Richard Bible from Bissnuss Inc. will be on hand to demonstrate the Dragon Dryer. This piece of equipment is being looked at as an addition to our current equipment. The purpose of the dryer is to change Class B sludge to Class A sludge.
